Frances Humphrey Lecture Series
While free masonry started a long time ago in Europe it has spread across the United States and has deep roots in Nevada and Carson City. The Carson City Lodge No. 1 was founded before Nevada was a state in 1863. This presentation will briefly describe the history of masonry in general and in America and focus on masonry in Nevada and Carson City. Join us for this interesting look at how masonry has changed over time and how Nevada was shaped by the masons. Presenter: Mark Marsh has been a mason since 1976. He has held various leadership positions within masonry throughout the years. In 2017 he was elected Most Worshipful Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Nevada and is currently Master of Carson Lodge No. 1, F. & A. M. Program held at the Nevada State Museum.
