Have you ever wanted to be a tour guide at a museum? Or wanted to know more about how the Nevada State Museum achieves its mission. Then this training is for you. As a museum volunteer you will have an opportunity to meet interesting new people, learn new things and help fulfill the museum's mission. During the 4 days we will learn about the museum and all of the programs we offer. Every new Tour Guide receives a training manual and name tag. All participants will learn where the museum needs volunteers most and get started helping. Training required for all new and existing volunteer Tour Guides. If you are a new volunteer the Education department will contact you to complete paperwork before training.
